Janis Sweeney – Founder & CEO

Janis is the Founder and CEO of NEMR Total HR.  Janis’ introduction to human resources began in 1967.  She devoted the majority of the subsequent 23 years to management positions within the two largest international staffing companies.   In 1989 Janis became co-owner of the oldest independently owned staffing company in South Jersey, National Worksite Staffing, with Ethel Harris (Harris School of Business); and in 1996 she became the sole owner.  Looking to expand valuable services to her clients she founded her current thriving HR Outsourcing company, National Employee Management Resources, LLC d/b/a NEMR Total HR.

Janis resides in South Jersey and is an active board member of a regional Chamber of Commerce as well as a council member of one of the largest non-profits in South Jersey.  Janis is deeply passionate about children with special needs.

Today Janis continues to be an active part in NEMR’s growth trajectory.  When not in the office, she enjoys cooking, travelling, sitting by the pool and spending time with her family.

Steven Sweeney – President

Steve Sweeney is the President of NEMR Total HR.  After joining the company in 2001, Steve spent time in many different areas of the business, with a focus on marketing and sales.  Since assuming the role of President in 2015, Steve’s primary goals have been strategic company direction and external relationship building.

Steve has been a featured speaker both locally and nationally on employment-related topics that include; The Business of Having Employees, Employee Benefit Plans, Building v Buying HR Infrastructure, HR Outsourcing, Employer Compliance and Healthcare Reform.  He also holds his insurance producer license in the areas of life and health.

Steve is a graduate of Drexel University and resides in South Jersey with his wife and son.  He is a member of the Union League of Philadelphia, is active with his high school alma mater, Bishop Eustace Preparatory School and is passionate about helping others in need.  When not at the office, Steve enjoys golf, the beach and spending time with his family.

Robert Klaiss – Vice President

Robert Klaiss is the Vice President of NEMR Total HR. During his sixteen-year tenure with the organization, Robert has been directly involved in all aspects of the company’s growth. He currently oversees the risk management and benefits divisions of the organization. Robert holds producer licenses in life, health and property and casualty insurance in multiple states and is an active broker.

Robert’s expertise is in analyzing client needs, listening to their vision and working to create new and innovative benefit plan designs for NEMR’s HR partners.  He is involved in local chambers of commerce and a member of the NJ Association of Health Underwriters.

When not in the office, Robert enjoys photography, woodworking, fishing and camping with his family.

Ron Jaconelli – Vice President, Finance

Ron Jaconelli is the Vice President of Finance. Ron joined the NEMR team in April 2016. Ron brings over 25 years of experience in Finance and Operations to the NEMR team from the Manufacturing and Electronics industries. Ron’s broad base experience has brought a calculated but open-minded approach that complements the vision of NEMR to achieve its’ future goals.

 

Ron is involved with all aspects of accounting, oversees the payroll and tax departments as well as maintains multiple vendor relations that are critical to the day to day functionality of the business operations.

Ron is married for 33 years with two grown children both of whom are married. He enjoys all sports and was a longtime hockey coach for both ice and roller winning an AAU National Championship in 2005.

Ron Jaconelli – Vice President, Finance

Ron Jaconelli is the Vice President of Finance. Ron joined the NEMR team in April 2016. Jennifer Sweeney-Klaiss, SHRM-SCP, Vice President, Human Resources

Jennifer Sweeney-Klaiss is the Vice President of Human Resources for NEMR Total HR.  Jennifer started her career at NEMR in 1998. After leaving the business to raise her children, Jennifer returned to the workforce and spent much of her career operating a well-known company in South Jersey.  When the opportunity arose, Jennifer came back to NEMR and has been instrumental in driving the company towards its vision ever since.

Jennifer holds a BA from Widener University, an MSW from Rutgers University and an HR Certificate from Villanova University.  Jennifer is also a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) in Human Resources and an active member of the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association.  When not in the office, Jennifer enjoys traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her two children.
